Grade 5/6 South March Public School, Kanata, Ontario
This is the lovely card that my students surprised me with this afternoon. I was so surprised that I think I surprised them by having a little cry. Tomorrow is the last day of school and I know that Mrs. Murphy and Mrs. Kerkhoff have a full day planned. There will be a slide show in the morning that Mme Rudick has been working hard at and the grade 6 water games in the afternoon. Don’t worry grade 5s they haven’t forgotten about you. I won’t be there for the day as I will be at my daughter’s graduation from high school. I plan on coming in sometime in the afternoon so we will say our good byes then.
Only one more sleep and then it is the last day of a wonderful school year.
Please remember to take your indoor shoes home tomorrow and all of your things.
I really enjoyed our class trip to the local Sobey’s Grocery store today. Mr. Foget and his produce manager were wonderful at explaining about where the fruits and vegetables we eat come from. It was a colourful and tasty way to learn about imports. So much of what we eat is grown outside of Canada. It is amazing to see where it comes form. Thank you also to Mr. Foget for the terrific loot bags. It was very kind of him to have one made for each of us.

Sorry for the very late agenda post. The main thing in our agenda today was to remember any late permission forms for our field trip tomorrow. If you need another one click here. I am happy to say that Alexander is free to join us so we will have enough volunteers to go ahead with the trip. Please bring a raincoat in case the weather is against us for our walk.
A reminder that our school leaving ceremony is next Tuesday morning at 9:30. For more information please click here.
Another busy day…comparing fractions, Voyage of the Mimi, Classification of Living Things, Art….I am sure that I have missed some things. It was wonderful to see Mrs. Cunningham today and so nice of her to bring us treats.
The string art is looking very good. I always think it is amazing how straight lines can make curved shapes.
