I am a zucchini. My name is Z. I started my life as a seed. I grew up in the ground with my brothers and sisters. I am light green with flakes of yellow  and dark green. My sister is Zucchinia. My mom said I feel cold, smooth and feel bumpy. I smell minty and herbal. I have gone from a field to a story. It has been rough because I was not treated properly. I’ve gone from Cobden to Kanata.

When I was in Cobden a crow tried to eat me while I was a seedling in my hole with my parents. My mom, Zandra and my father, Zach, they tried to save me and their plan worked. When I was a baby the farmer Joe picked me out of the ground and put me in the truck and that was my first time on a truck. I got sent to a market in Kanata. Morgan and Abeer came to the zucchini stand. they found me, looked at me and picked me up. She weighed me and took me to a moving machine. I heard her say “$4.00 dollars please.” I saw this paper come out of this holder. They took me home and cut my top off, took out my insides and now I sit on their table every day, every moment of my life as a decoration.
